AUSTRALIA
RUGBY
Australia is a world power in rugby.
Their team, has existed since 1899, nicknamed the Wallabies, eliminated England in their own World Cup. Australia is one of the best teams in the world having participed in all the World Cups, having played 4 finals and having won 2 titles.
Michael Hooper, their captain is one of the best players in Australia and in the world. He was nominated for best rugby player of the year in 2012 and 2015. Hopper led the Wallabies to victory in the 2015 Rugby World Cup by defeating the All Blacks 27-19 at the ANZ Stadium in Sydney.
CRICKET
Cricket is the most popular summer sport in Australia, has been played for over 210 years. It plays from the months of September to April.
Their team is one of the best in the world, this has participated in all editions of the Cricket World Cup and have won it five times. Is the team that has won the most championships.
One of the best player of cricket in history was Shane Warne, who captained the Australian national team. He was banned from the sport in 2003 for testing positive for a prohibited substance. Actually is cricket comentador.
NETBALL
Netball is a sport which is not well known in other countries but is very typical for the women in Astralia.
It
is played on a 30 by 15 m field divided into three equal parts, with
two baskets hanging from a pole at the ends. There are seven players who
can only move in certain areas and cannot move with the ball in their
hands, and a series of passes must be made until the ball is delivered
to the shooter, who will be the one to score. During play, a player may
only hold the ball for three seconds before making a shot or pass to
another player. The winning team is the one with the most goals. Netball
games last 60 minutes.
The Australian national team is regarded as
the most successful netball team, They won nine of the twelve Netball
World Championships.

CYCLING
Cycling in Australia is a comon form of transport, but they also like professional cycling. Australia hosts the Tour Down Under which is the only UCI World Tour event in the southern hemisphere. Australians place strongly in cycling at the Olympic Games, UCI World Championships and other international events.
They also have hosted the UCI Road World Championships, UCI Track Cycling World Championships and UCI Mountain Bike & Trials World Championships.
One of the best professional Australian cyclist is Caleb Ewan, the sprinter for Lotto Soudal.
He’s one of the best in the platoon, He has more than 50 wins and has won stages in the Tour de France, Vuelta a España and the Giro d'Italia among others.
Its main (and only) existing professional league in the world is the Australian Football League.

NEW ZEALAND
In
New Zealand the best known sports are rugby, cricket and netball.
Cycling are not a common sport in New Zealand but they have some cyclist
that are too competitive in professional cycling.
RUGBY
In New Zealand rugby are very important and is considered national sport.
The
New Zealand rugby team is known as the ALL BLACKS, being the rugby team
that has won the most worldwide and is considered one of the best in
the world. In addition, New Zealand competes with Argentina, Australia
and South Africa in the Rugby Championship, known as the Tri Nations
Tournament before Argentina's entry in 2012. The All Blacks have won the
trophy eighteen times in the past 25 years of tournament history.
Something
interesting about the New Zealand team is that the team performs a Haka
before each game, a dance from the Maori culture that in the past
represented the war cry of these tribes on the battlefield, and that the
All Blacks adapted it rugby as a sign of respect and challenge to the
opposing team, something very rare in the world of rugby. In the

CRICKET
Richard
John Hadlee is a famous former New Zealand cricketer who is widely
regarded as one of the greatest all-rounders players in cricket history.
In December 2002 Wisden (annually published book on cricket) chose him as the second-best Test bowler of all time.
Martin
David Crowe was a New Zealand cricketer, Test and ODI captain as well
as a commentator. He played for the New Zealand national cricket team
between 1982 and 1995, and is regarded as one of the country's greatest
batsmen. Later he was a match commentator and died of a lysoma diagnosed
in 2016.
NETBALL
The Netball was introduced to New Zealand as the women's basketball in 1906.
The
game spread across New Zealand through primary and secondary schools,
although different rules of the game emerged in different areas. In 1923
the first representative match was played between the Canterbury and
Wellington regions. The New Zealand Basketball Association was formed
the following year, representing the first national governing body for
netball. The first New Zealand National Tournament was held two years
later in 1926. In 1938 a New Zealand national team was appointed to tour
Australia, matches were played under Australian seven-a-side rules.
CYCLING
Although cycling in New Zealand is not as famous as the rest of the sports mentioned, it has some other great cyclists such as George Bennett.George Bennett is a professional cyclist who was born in 1990 in New Zealand. This New Zealand cyclist began his stage in this sport on mountain bike, but later he was signed by a sub 23 team in France where he ran scoring good papers in different tests, which gave him the opportunity at the end of the 2011 season.His character as a climber gave him the opportunity to sign up for Team Lotto NL-Jumbo, one of the best teams in the world. In it he achieved a great role as a gregarious member of the team leaders and has a tenth place in La Vuelta a España 2016. In his record he also has 3 titles of national champion of Route and time trial.This season George has signed for the UAE Emirates team, after 5 years with Jumbo he decided to change scenery and his role in this new team is to help Tadej Pogacar's superclass win his third Tour de France.
